It is bordered by Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in the northwest, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan in the west, Madhya Pradesh in the south, and Chhattisgarh in the southeast, Bihar and Jharkhand in the east. UP also shares 651 Km long international border with Nepal.
